Investigations close in on White House

MSNBC story:

In rapid succession, congressional committees Wednesday ramped up their investigations of the Bush administration by approving a subpoena for Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and granting immunity to a key aide to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales.

By 21-10, the House oversight committee voted to issue a subpoena to Rice to compel her story on the Bush administration's claim, now discredited, that Iraq was seeking uranium from Africa.

Lee:

Immunity for Goodling is another key indicator that more fireworks are ahead.

P. Bunyan:

I hope the left keeps this up. The more time they waste on these useless witch hunts the less time they have to try to pass socialist or pro-terrorist legislation.

An added benefit is that the average voter will being to see this for what it is over time and that won't help the left at all.

And I was really looking forward to the "Muffins for Terrorists" bill coming to the floor. Darn.

The funny thing here is that Bunyan probably thinks of himself as an example of "the average voter."

I'm not certain where Allah stands on he Partaking of the Muffin, but the idea has some merit.

Who can resist the taste of freedom in a Starbucks cappuccino muffin? Surely, having those kuffir blueberries rolling across the tongue would make them think "Hey, these infidels aren't half bad."

The Egyptians had their pyramids, the Romans their aqueducts, and us, our confections.

Or we could just skip that shit and poison them.

It was? By whom? Oh wait, that's right, it was Joe Wilson who report to the SIC supported the adminstration's 16 words of fame that the British still stand by.

And that would be Niger, not Africa.

Ryan:

Peter F., Niger's in Africa, buddy. Boy, you sure caught that slip-up. "Hey I'm going to Massachusetts next week." Peter F. - "You LIAR!! You said you were going to Boston!"
