McCain Fails in Bid For Nomination

I know, I know, that isn't what he announced, but there is just no other explanation for Senator McCain's announcement today - what does it say when the guy has been campaigning for months - and now has to remind the voters that he's a candidate?

Is he going to re-announce every week or so in a desperate attempt to get press coverage for his failing effort?

All seriousness aside, did anyone think he really had a prayer of winning anyway?

Paul Hamilton:

He had a good chance until he turned chameleon in a vain attempt to win over supporters on the far right. He lost their support 7 years ago and had no chance of winning them back and his flip-flops cost him any support by the moderates.

I believe that's referred to as a Kerrification.

Paul Hamilton:

I agree completely, Heralder. I believe that the public isn't so much pro-liberal or pro-conservative as they are pro-integrity. Our representatives should stand for something rather than being a political weathervane, pointing whichever way the wind happens to blow.
