"Green" Democrats?

Newsday story:

A flock of small jets took flight from Washington Thursday, each carrying a Democratic presidential candidate to South Carolina for the first debate of the political season.

For Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton, Barack Obama, Chris Dodd and Joe Biden, it was wheels up shortly after they voted in favor of legislation requiring that U.S. troops begin returning home from Iraq in the fall.

No one jet pooled, no one took commercial flights to save money, fuel or emissions.

If you're going to talk the talk, you'd best walk the walk...

P. Bunyan:

Perhaps they realize that the only people who vote for them are (1) the true believers who will overlook such hypocracy (2) the ignorant and uniformed who won't be aware of it anyway.

So why should they care? They know the whole global warming fad is just a farce anyway.

civil behavior:

There is no excuse for the Democratic candidates to walk the talk. They will be called to account for their abuses buy the very people who will be deciding their future stations in government.

The deal is NO ONE is exempt from taking responsibility for beginning to reduce carbon emissions, no one.

If it isn't begun voluntarily it will need to be mandated. But don't expect to be excluded. This is a serious life changing exercise and it's time to become part of the solution.

Environmental conservation is a logical and desirable policy (though we do not have to go to extremes and should be moderately flexible in policy implementation).

That said, it would have been honorable and smart for at least a couple of the dems to coordinate and set an example, if for nothing else to reduce air pollution and conserve fuel. (I don't think carbon is as bad an issue as comes across on the extreme)

America deserves much better leaders than the ones we often see from both parties. It's as if they forgot the whole "lead by example" mantra.
