Moveon.org and others have called for an emergency rally tomorrow against Bush's veto of H.R. 1591, the Iraq funding bill passed by Congress. From what I've read so far, they are hoping for a very noisy showing against the veto. More here.
Wizbang Blue's very own Larkin has an excellent post on the specific plans contained within the bill; plans which are largely being overlooked due to political fervor on this issue. Check out his post - "Are the Democrats Surrendering in Iraq?"
Note: Wizbang Blue is now closed and our authors have moved on. Paul Hooson can now be found at Wizbang Pop!. Please come see him there!

For a group that called for people to "Move On," moveon.org is really, really good at hanging on to lost causes.

"moveon.org is really, really good at hanging on to lost causes."
The same could be said for Republicans, cirby.
In fact, Paul said something to that effect just a few hours ago.

I FAVOR the veto...followed up by not sending another funding bill for the war in Iraq.
(wasn't this all supposed to be paid for using Iraqi oil revenues?)

Oh, come on Lee.
How can this be an emergency rally when everyone could see this coming from a mile away?
I expect better of you than this.

The organizers called it an "emergency" I didn't. If you'd clicked on the link you'd know that.
I put the word in "quotes" in my post title to -- you know -- show that it was a "quote" and not my choice of words.
