Gonzo Confirms More Domestic Spying

Think Progress story:

In his testimony today before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales was asked by Sen. Arlen Specter (R-PA) to address inaccuracies in his 2006 testimony in relation to the Bush administration's warrantless wiretapping program. "There has not been any serious disagreement about the program that the president has confirmed," Gonzales said at the time.

Sen. Arlen Specter (R-PA) recalled that former Deputy Attorney General James Comey testified to a much different version of events. Comey said he had refused to sign on to an extension of the program "amid concerns about its legality and oversight."

But if you aren't a terra-ist, you have nothing to fear! Are you a terra-ist??

You can't read. What was confirmed there was little disagreement about, once Comey had thrown his fit at the hospital, unnecessarily. He was on the same page with them all the time, he just had to have his drama. Go read about the actual controversy, not what you've been told by your masters.

You do understand, Lee, that that re-authorization was White House Policy; it was not law. They had set themselves up a mechanism to prevent the abuse of the program, and Comey took advantage of that precaution. If he had spent the week before the hospital run explaining his objections to the White House it could have been done without the drama, because THERE WAS LITTLE DISAGREEMENT.

You could look it up. Or you could dream on that Schumer has anything on Gonzales or Bush except made up dramas about hospital runs, and US Attorneys, and Libbys.

Delusional? Yep, you are. You shouldn't believe everything you want to believe.

This is Paul's post, kim, not mine.

Does Paul not let you talk to me here?

This link is clearer (I think) than those cited above. It deciphers Gonzo's qualifying "Program..." with "...that the president has confirmed".

In short, it seems to be a puppet show and the Dems are playing the role of Punch. Showtimes on the hour.

PS: Next scandal: DHS-WH-Mexico conspiracy against Campion and Ramos(?). Glenn Beck (of all people) is on it. 3 hrs radio + 1 hr TV/ day = his next crusade (he WUVS crusades!). Good for him! Beware Bushbots de-programming. Worse than former smokers!

bD, you linked to a manic Hagee rah. Surely you didn't want me to watch Gigi rant ecstatically.
