Bush Sacrifices Troops for Corrupt Iraqi Politicians

There's no other way to put this: George Bush is sacrificing our troops so that corrupt Iraqi politicians can line their pockets with gold at the expense of the Iraqi people. NBC News is exposing this monumental scandal:

Desperate shortages of drugs and medical supplies in Baghdad's overcrowded hospitals are confronting the victims of violence. But the shortages are not because of a lack of money.

Medicines and supplies have been siphoned off and sold elsewhere because of corruption in the Iraqi government's Ministry of Health, according to a draft U.S. government report obtained by NBC News.

The report, written by U.S. advisers to Iraq's anti-corruption agency, analyzes corruption in 12 ministries and finds devastating and grim problems: "Corruption protected by senior members of the Iraqi government," the report said, "remains untouchable."

One potential problem, according to the report, is in the office of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.

The report said that "the prime minister's office has on a number of occasions intervened on cases involving political supporters."

The wheels are starting to come off of Bush's disastrous train wreck in Iraq. The American people have had enough of the incompetent group of miserably corrupt and self-serving Iraqi politicians who are able to loot the Iraqi treasury thanks to the tremendous sacrifices that our heroes in arms are making on a daily basis to keep them in power. Every American should be outraged by this absurd and ridiculous travesty. The Iraqis don't understand democracy, haven't earned it, won't fight for it and certainly don't deserve it. We've done all we can do for them; it's time for them to stand on their own.

P. Bunyan:

Gosh it must be such a bummer for you Larkin that the US is actully gonna win this war. You leftists have been rooting for the terrorists from the start, but sadly for you the inevitability of America's victory is slowly starting to become obvious.

Oh well, maybe you lefties can help America's next enemy defeat us.

Steve Crickmore:

Larkin, I would have more sympathy with this line of thinking 'blame it on the Iraqis,'(which is Hillary's too) if I didn't know the previous government, the Coalition Provisional Authority, outlawed unions, excluded Iraqi firms, looted Saddam's treasury, justified (Wolofiwitz) 'the cost of the invasion would be paid by oil, to the victor go the spoils.

It is a funbar now..and just as any true democrat would want to distance themselves from Bush's 'Project for new American Century' in Iraq, I'm sure many Iraqis probably view the new government as one of questionalble legitmacy, and at the same time an opportunity to enrich or sustain themselves, just as the war resource and oil firms viewed Iraq as a gifted business opportunity.. On the other hand, whether any untainted 'unoccupied' organic Iraqi government would have been less corrupt is probably a good question too?
