Lying Limbaugh and his Legion of Lying Loyalists

The liars on the right, following their tried and true mantra of repeating the same lies over and over again hoping people will finally believe them... have been blown out of the water with the publication of the full transcript and context of Rush Limbaugh's remarks which make it perfectly clear that Rush is referring to anti-war soldiers as phony soldiers.

CALLER: Hi, Rush. Thanks for taking my call.

RUSH: You bet.

CALLER: I have a retort to Mike in Chicago, because I am serving in the American military, in the Army. I've been serving for 14 years, very proudly.

RUSH: Thank you, sir.

CALLER: I'm one of the few that joined the Army to serve my country, I'm proud to say, not for the money or anything like that. What I would like to retort to is that, what these people don't understand, is if we pull out of Iraq right now, which is not possible because of all the stuff that's over there, it would take us at least a year to pull everything back out of Iraq, then Iraq itself would collapse and we'd have to go right back over there within a year or so.

RUSH: There's a lot more than that that they don't understand. The next guy that calls here I'm going to ask them, "What is the imperative of pulling out? What's in it for the United States to pull out?" I don't think they have an answer for that other than, "When's he going to bring the troops home? Keep the troops safe," whatever.

CALLER: Yeah.

RUSH: It's not possible intellectually to follow these people.

CALLER: No, it's not. And what's really funny is they never talk to real soldiers. They pull these soldiers that come up out of the blue and spout to the media.

RUSH: The phony soldiers.

CALLER: Phony soldiers. If you talk to any real soldier and they're proud to serve, they want to be over in Iraq, they understand their sacrifice and they're willing to sacrifice for the country.

Clearly they are talking about "phony soldiers" in Iraq who "spout to the media."

And it's almost two minutes later before Rush raises the issue of Jesse MacBeth whom he claims is propped up as a hero -- a full two minutes later.

We pick up the transcript at the end of the phone call.

I want to thank you, Mike, for calling. I appreciate it very much.

[Note, end of call]

Here is a Morning Update that we did recently talking about fake soldiers. This is a story of who the left props up as heroes. They have their celebrities and one of them was Army Ranger Jesse Macbeth. [...]

Nothing was said about "heroes" in the portion of the phone call where Limbaugh calls some of our troops "phony soldiers"... Rush has changed the subject.

In his rants defending himself, dutifully picked up and repeated by the lying bloggers on the right, Limbaugh chose to cut out the almost 2 minutes of conversation that transpired between his slam on the anti-war troops as being phony soldiers and the point where he starts talking about 'hero' Jesse MacBeth, eliminating those two minutes to compress time and give the appearance it was one continuous discussion.

It wasn't. In those two minute Rush talks about a number of different issues, including WMDs, then eventually turns the subject to Jesse MacBeth.

They're lying again, and they've been caught lying, again, and they are now madly spinning back and forth, these whirling dervishes of deception, trying to cover for their lies with more lies.

Why chickenhawks like Limbaugh can't just apologize when he makes a mistake like this is a mystery... Why the lying loyalists will say and do anything to cover for chickenhawks like Limbaugh is much more obvious, and disgusting. They simply can't tell the truth if it makes conservatives look bad, and would rather lie instead.

I'm confused...:

I don;t get it, why don't you just post the whole transcript instead of chopping it apart?

CALLER: Phony soldiers. If you talk to any real soldier and they're proud to serve, they want to be over in Iraq, they understand their sacrifice and they're willing to sacrifice for the country.

RUSH: They joined to be in Iraq.

CALLER: A lot of people.

RUSH: You know where you're going these days, the last four years, if you sign up. The odds are you're going there or Afghanistan, or somewhere.

CALLER: Exactly, sir. My other comment, my original comment, was a retort to Jill about the fact we didn't find any weapons of mass destruction. Actually, we have found weapons of mass destruction in chemical agents that terrorists have been using against us for a while now. I've done two tours in Iraq, I just got back in June, and there are many instances of insurgents not knowing what they're using in their IEDs. They're using mustard artillery rounds, VX artillery rounds in their IEDs. Because they didn't know what they were using, they didn't do it right, and so it didn't really hurt anybody. But those munitions are over there. It's a huge desert. If they bury it somewhere, we're never going to find it.

RUSH: Well, that's a moot point for me right now.

CALLER: Right.
RUSH: The weapons of mass destruction. We gotta get beyond that. We're there. We all know they were there, and Mahmoud even admitted it in one of his speeches here talking about Saddam using the poison mustard gas or whatever it is on his own people. But that's moot. What's more important is all this is taking place now in the midst of the surge working, and all of these anti-war Democrats are getting even more hell-bent on pulling out of there, which means that success on the part of you and your colleagues over there is a great threat to them. It's frustrating and maddening, and why they must be kept in the minority. I want to thank you, Mike, for calling. I appreciate it very much.

Here is a Morning Update that we did recently, talking about fake soldiers. This is a story of who the left props up as heroes. They have their celebrities and one of them was Army Ranger Jesse Macbeth. Now, he was a "corporal." I say in quotes. Twenty-three years old. What made Jesse Macbeth a hero to the anti-war crowd wasn't his Purple Heart; it wasn't his being affiliated with post-traumatic stress disorder from tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. No. What made Jesse Macbeth, Army Ranger, a hero to the left was his courage, in their view, off the battlefield, without regard to consequences. He told the world the abuses he had witnessed in Iraq, American soldiers killing unarmed civilians, hundreds of men, women, even children. In one gruesome account, translated into Arabic and spread widely across the Internet, Army Ranger Jesse Macbeth describes the horrors this way: "We would burn their bodies. We would hang their bodies from the rafters in the mosque."

Now, recently, Jesse Macbeth, poster boy for the anti-war left, had his day in court. And you know what? He was sentenced to five months in jail and three years probation for falsifying a Department of Veterans Affairs claim and his Army discharge record. He was in the Army. Jesse Macbeth was in the Army, folks, briefly. Forty-four days before he washed out of boot camp. Jesse Macbeth isn't an Army Ranger, never was. He isn't a corporal, never was. He never won the Purple Heart, and he was never in combat to witness the horrors he claimed to have seen. You probably haven't even heard about this. And, if you have, you haven't heard much about it. This doesn't fit the narrative and the template in the Drive-By Media and the Democrat Party as to who is a genuine war hero. Don't look for any retractions, by the way. Not from the anti-war left, the anti-military Drive-By Media, or the Arabic websites that spread Jesse Macbeth's lies about our troops, because the truth for the left is fiction that serves their purpose. They have to lie about such atrocities because they can't find any that fit the template of the way they see the US military. In other words, for the American anti-war left, the greatest inconvenience they face is the truth.

Oh, after reading it I figured out why you never posted it. It disproves your point. Sorry about that.

Allen:

Lee,

You got this one correct. The righties are going ape over this trying to SPIN their way out of it. They got their undies in a wad when MoveON.org asked a question, but when one of the biggest chickenhawks around steps in it, they rush to protect the druggie. Typical of them, isn't it.

Lee Ward:

Thanks, Allen, rather amzing isn't it? the lengths that these guys will go to spreading their lies.

"I don;t get it, why don't you just post the whole transcript instead of chopping it apart?"

Because there is almost two minutes of irrelevant conversation that passes between the phony soldiers statement and the Jesse MacBeth intro -- as you've shown (lol).

This -- actually -- further proves my point that

(a) LImbaugh lied and misled the public when he edited out that long bit -- trying to compress time and make us believe the conversation flowed directly from the phony soldiers remark into the MacBeth story.

Look at the clip in that link above. He told the American public that this was the full and complete transcript and context -- a flat out lie

and (b) everyone can see Rush did not refer in that phone call to phony soldiers in connection with MacBeth without reading two minutes of totally irrelevant conversation -- the first mention of MacBeth comes after the phone call. Making my readers plow through two minutes of irrelevant conversation is unnecessary, as your text shows.

Spin, Spin Spin.. it's still a lie.

Xennady:

Lee Ward: So why DIDN'T you just include the last part of the transcript that "I'm confused" helpfully provided? Surely you weren't afraid that any rational, disinterested, reader might conclude that YOU were lying and not Limbaugh? If you WANT to tell the truth you don't need to chop transcripts like that. So ,as usual, you are the lying liar just like your hero Bill "I did not have sex with that woman" Clinton.

Lee Ward:

Making my readers plow through two minutes of irrelevant conversation is unnecessary, as the "confused" text shows.

Lol! and this whirling dervish of deception actually got around to the Clinton blowjob.

You Limbaugh lickers are pathetic... are you all chickenhawks like Limbaugh, is that why you leap to that fathead's defense?

Xennady:

Are your typical readers so stupid they can't read a couple extra paragraphs quickly and form their own opinions? Wait- Don't answer that! And about Clinton- your whole complaint about Limbaugh is that he is LYING. If lying is so bad- why didn't you folks join with Newtie G. back when and make Al save-the-planet-Gore the incumbent president for the 2K election? You aren't ashamed of Clinton are you? If not, why shouldn't I bring up him and the precedents he set?

I'm confused...:
Making my readers plow through two minutes of irrelevant conversation is unnecessary, as the "confused" text shows.

Liar. You know that Rush and the caller traded a single thought then Rush went right to the fake soldier comments about a morning update he did TWO DAYS EARLIER.

You're the liar Less

I'm confused...:

It is not 2 minutes, it is only 2 paragraphs.

Liar.

Lee Ward:

Geez - Apparently you didn't even read the damn text you quoted in your comment above. Here's a big chunk out of the middle -- that has NOTHING to do with the phony soldiers...

But those munitions are over there. It's a huge desert. If they bury it somewhere, we're never going to find it.

RUSH: Well, that's a moot point for me right now.

CALLER: Right.
RUSH: The weapons of mass destruction. We gotta get beyond that. We're there. We all know they were there, and Mahmoud even admitted it in one of his speeches here talking about Saddam using the poison mustard gas..

It's irrelevant crap, not having anything whatsoever to do with phony soldiers.

"You know that Rush and the caller traded a single thought then Rush went right to the fake soldier comments about a morning update he did TWO DAYS EARLIER."

Wrong, absolutely 100% wrong. They talked about WMD,s etc - - as you're own quotes show --the conversation had moved away from phony soldiers and that's why Rush eliminated this portion of the transcript.

He lied, just as you just lied, saying that it was one continuous conversation -- it wasn't!

Look at the way these liars keep spinning and lying, folks. Amazing, isn't it?

Lee Ward:

"It is not 2 minutes, it is only 2 paragraphs. Liar."

Did you time the portion Rush hid from the American public?

Media Matters did:

Rush Limbaugh claimed that he had not been talking "about the anti-war movement generally," but rather "about one soldier ... Jesse MacBeth." Limbaugh then purported to air the "entire" segment in question. In fact, the clip he aired omitted a full 1 minute and 35 seconds of discussion that occurred between Limbaugh's original "phony soldiers" comment and his subsequent reference to MacBeth.

Youv'e been caught lying again --- just like the lying bloggers, you're repeating the same lies over and over hoping to spin this... tsk tsk...

Lee Ward:

I don't have time for these right wing lying bots right now -- this comment section is closed for the time being, and will reopen later today. - Lee

this thread was re-opened at 4:19pm - Lee

This Wizbang regular couldn't wait, and demanded his "I wuz Banned from Blue" badge. Congrats, Xennady - you earned it.
