Thompson Lost Without a Script

So far Fred Thompson is completely flopping on the campaign trail as many of us predicted. People say his stump speeches are boring and uninspiring.

He is also making major mistakes such as his reference to the "Soviet Union" during a radio interview. Newsflash for Arthur Branch: the Soviet Union disbanded in 1991. You can read all about on Wikipedia.

Next week's Republican debate will be a pivotal moment for Thompson and his campaign. So far when operating without a script he has been less than inspiring. It will be difficult to cover-up his lack of preparedness and enthusiasm during a free-wheeling debate. The initial enthusiasm over his entry into the race has evaporated and many of his supporters have to be asking the question of whether he is truly the second coming of Ronald Reagan.

My prediction for the debate: Thompson will not be the winner.
