Just kidding about the head exploding, but if the Obamatrons don't find any dirt in those returns I wouldn't be surprised if there are heads which hiss like flat tires....
This is the LA Times reporting - and they hate Hillary Clinton with a passion - they are one of the most biased press outlets against Clinton. So far, they haven't dug up any dirt, but it's early.
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and former President Bill Clinton reported more than $109 million in gross income since 2000, the Clinton presidential campaign announced this afternoon.Of that amount, the Clintons have more than $57 million in after-tax earnings and paid more than $33 million in federal taxes, the campaign said. It released tax returns from 2000 to 2006 and highlights for 2007.
"The Clintons have now made public 30 years of tax returns, a record matched by few people in public service," campaign spokesman Jay Carson said in a prepared statement. "None of Hillary Clinton's presidential opponents have revealed anything close to this amount of personal financial information."
According to the campaign, the Clintons paid taxes and made charitable donations at a higher rate than taxpayers at their income level.
"The Clintons paid $33,783,507 in federal taxes -- 31% of their adjusted gross income. According to the most recent data available from the IRS, in 2005 taxpayers earning $10,000,000 or more paid on average 20.8% of their adjusted gross income in taxes," the campaign said.
"The couple donated $10,256,741 to charity -- 9.5% of their adjusted gross income. According to the most recent data available from the IRS, in 2005 taxpayers earning $10,000,000 or more contributed 3.1% of their adjusted gross income in cash contributions to charity," the campaign said.

Well, at least part of the reason they paid so much in taxes is that, unlike most $10 mil earners, they had no capital gains or dividend income which would be taxed at the lower rate. The book royalties and speaking fees are taxed as "ordinary income."
But they give a heckuva a lot more than many others in their income range, and that's no accident of the tax code. Unfortunately, it seems that in one year at least, all of those charitable contributions were to the Clinton Foundation . . .
Oh well, they say charity begins at home . . .
Jay Leno: "They asked Bill Clinton why he gave so much money to charity, and he said, 'She's a really good dancer.'"

The donated money to their own foundation, but that isn't putting the money back into their pockets. The Clinton foundation supports a wide range of activities, none of which enrich the Clintons in any way.
From wikipedia:
The McCains, with all of their millions, must be equally generous, no?
No?
