You have no idea how much we hated that damn jet. He tried a dozen times to get public approval for that thing and we didn't want it. He got the jet anyway. For all we care she could have blown the damn thing up.
She did put it on Ebay, but seems she didn't get the bids for it there and sold it outside of Ebay. No profit it seems. Not a big deal to rant on Mccain about though.

Telliing the truth to the American people is a big deal.
Making up stories that aren't true are indicative of character, and at this point -- as he avoids the issues -- his character is what we can judge McCain on.
Now, perhaps McCain's campaign people are telling him lies and he's just parroting what they tell him to say. What does that say?
But when he's spreading lies, even unkowingly, it's not a good thing. You may not think it's bad, but it adds up. Several times a week a troll or two will show up here claiming Barack Obama thinks the U.S. has 53 states. Feh...
No word on the issues, and cute little white lies. I'm hoping for better from John McCain, not the kind of crap Karl Rove's army of trolls tell on blogs and comments threads.
She didn't sell it on eBay, and it wasn't sold at a profit.
Oh well, total bullshit, but cute. I guess that's the best we can expect from Republicans these days...

Obama did say 53 or 57 states..whatever the quote was...does that mean he was lying. It adds up.
No work on the issues? That little blurb you pasted was the only thing he ever said? If he never says anything on the issues then most your stuff is made up..he never said them so you don't know. How can you comment on his energy plan, economic plan, foreign policy?
But when he's spreading lies, even unkowingly, it's not a good thing.
That part had my stomach hurting. After all the stuff you have thrown out on Palin lately.

Rich, Obama was talking generically about the total of 57 primaries and caucus contests when he referred to them as "states". How is this a "lie"? Puerto Rico and other areas are allowed either a primary or a caucus, but not a vote in the general election. There are a total of 57 contests in the Democratic contest. Does Obama have to carefully dot every "i" just to suit you? Obama didn't even misspeak himself either. He was using generic language to refer to all 57 total contests.
By comparison Palin invented some claim that she sold the state jet on EBay which is a complete lie. The jet was listed with a very expensive ad on EBay, but either the bids were too low or the reserve was too high and the the jet did not sell and the expensive ad failed. The jet was later sold to some businessman in a private deal that had nothing to do with EBAy at a $600,000 loss to the state of Alaska.
Leave it up to Palin to spin losing $600,000 of money from the state, and McCain lying about the tale adding that Palin made a "profit" on the deal for the state.
Palin attempts to inflate her resume with outrageous lies and McCain only chimes in. This "EBay jet deal" is a big deal because it proves the basic dishonesty of these two.
The fact of the matter is that Palin lost $600,000 for the state of Alaska, but attempted to cover the truth up with the absurd EBay tale, and McCain lied and claimed that Palin made a profit for the state when the opposite was really true. Voters should be turned off by politicians who play them for fools like this. This is pure crap.

Actually Paul she said she PUT it on Ebay. She didn't say she sold on there. Just that she had sold it and never claimed to have made a profit.
I would like to see you take a used jet and get the same you paid for it. None of us in Alaska really cared. We were pissed at Murkowski for getting it in the first place.
Mccain got the story mixed up. Oh well. I will let Obama go if you can let Palin off.

What Palin said:
What McCain said (as quoted above):
She stretched the truth, implying she sold it on eBay -- McCain outright lied.
It's a cute story, but it's a story... a fabrication meant to endure Palin to all of the Moms who sell stuff on eBay -- but it's a lie. She did not sell the plane on eBay, and did not sell it at a profit.

Lee,
You just repeated what I said, only you spin it with a negative. Want to go over to factcheck.org and see where either side is stretching the truth?
Which side is getting a story mixed up? It goes on and on with both sides.
We know what was said. Get over it.

He lied. Trolling this comment thread telling us to get over it doesn't change that.
Why did McCain lie?
