Paul Hooson:

The blind leading the blind? What better leader than a rude and arrogant and clueless overweight former prescription drug addict to lead the way back to power for America's #2 party. I guess you could say that they're #2 because they don't try at all. The real Republican leader, Michael Steele is at least a civil and very decent man by comparison. If many Republicans can't see that fact, then God help them.

Allen:

Is Steele admitting that Rush (where's my drugs) Limpest is indeed the head/leader/mouthpiece for republicans? Regardless, It is another example of another republican tool kissing the ass of their drug-addled leader. LMAO It hasn't even been a day and he already apologized. Steele said he was the leader but he bows to "El Rush Scum" BWAHAHAHA. Republicans are a joke and their leaders are so funny.

The GOP has become the party of "no we can't, and neither can you". So long as they continue to embrace the counter-productive, mean-spirited, spiteful, malicious doctrines and pronouncements of the likes of Limbaugh, Coulter, Palin, Steele, and the clowns on FOX News, the majority of the American public will say "thanks, but no thanks" to the Republican Party. Limbaugh's philosophy is a common one among the loudest louts of the far right. He, O'Reilly, Hannity, etc. couldn't care less whether what they espouse is factually accurate. All that matters is whether or not they can SELL it.

Absolutely correct in that the GOP is incapable of running the country and have no one to put up for office -- and the worst thing is that they are all living in complete fear of Rush Limbaugh with one and all, top to bottom, fearful of insulting him and ending up on his bad side. The simple-minded have made Rush Limbaugh, a man filled with hate, bitterness, prejudice and ignorance, the leader of the republicans. Scary isn't it.

LiberalNightmare:

Just a question for Paul-

When you attack Limbaugh for using perscription drugs, are you hoping no one remembers the Obamas personal drug history? Or Clintons?

Isnt a little hypocritical?

AJ:

As a conservative, I think this is a buch of BS. If you ask a conservative walking down the street, he'll say Rush is an entertainer, not a leader of the GOP. This whole "Rush is leader" is a product of the liberal imagination and the liberal media has run with it. Rush is good for getting people riled up, and he did have a great speech the other day, but he's not in any way a leader. Of course, liberals don't care what the vast majority of conservatives truly think or feel- they want to twist anything and everything. Understandable, I guess. Disgusting though. For once it'd be nice to have people in politics care about the public instead of their images.

Lee Ward:

Rush speaks from the mount to 20 million rabid fans - and when Steele dared challenge the bloated one's relevance he was smite down from the mountain-top radio transmitter and made to eat his words.

All Hail the fat, drug-addicted slob who leads the conservative movement from the darkness - the man they chose as their keynote speaker at CPAC, and the man they applaud as their chosen one.

DaveD:

I think there exists a number of people who go along with condemning Rush without have ever listened to him. I applaud Obama's efforts at increasing Rush's visibility. There are those who think he is a loon and there is nothing that will change their positions. I also know of folks who have gotten around to listening to him and feel his personality is over the top a lot of times but they like the essence of his message. I think the free advertizing from the Obama administration is terrific. The President is a man who has been "handled" all his life. I think a public challenger like Rush is someone that makes him very uncomfortable and BHO would have a very tough time going one on one with in a televised debate with Rush. Lee might not like Rush's appearance and his fixation on folks physical appearance as a reflection of character continues to surface time to time. But I think Rush would eat the big O alive in a televised debate format. Just a guess. But, you know, I kind of like Rush.

John:

Yes all hail liberal leaders! Cocaine user and rapist, and now a cocaine user and marijuana user whose sidekick can't remember the number to Recovery.gov!

A leader who is so smart and a party so ethical they have tax cheats nominated to positions of power and policy! A leader who is so smart that he denounces all those involved with Wall Street as evil, and then asks people to become part of that evil and buy stocks! A leader so smart that his excuse for outrageous government spending is not because he knows this is the best way to do things, that his policy and vision is best...no, the best this asshole can come up with is it's Bush's fault.

A leader so smart and ready to lead, that anyone who dares question them are targetted specifically for personal attacks...something that should scare even liberals...

Lee Ward:

"I think the free advertizing from the Obama administration is terrific. "

Me too. I think the more people who hear that Rush wants America to fail, the better.

"A leader so smart and ready to lead, that anyone who dares question them are targetted specifically for personal attacks."

That sums up the Limpbaugh/Steele kersckuffle precisely.

How dare the RNC chairman suggest that Fat-Boy is just an entertainer. Doesn't Steele know who's "REALLY" in charge of the conservative movement? For shame...

Allen:

Rush is little more the Goebbels of the corporate-rule crowd despite his out-front position in the media. As a typical greed head, Limbaugh doesn't want to lose those annual millions which pay for his Oxycontin and Viagra and sex trips to third-world nations and lawyers to keep him out of prison, so he does as he's told, and does it well. Clearly the G.O.P. Does Not Have Balls of Steel When It Comes to Limbaugh.

Poor Michael Steele. He criticized the titular leader of the Republican Party, Rush Limbaugh. Rush slapped him down. Steele waved the white flag of surrender. He apologized. Steele is so very sorry he offended the man who says he hopes the president fails. Which means he hopes the economy fails. Which raises the fair question of whether someone who hopes our president fails is patriotic or not. And it tells the story of why the Republican Party is in such very big trouble. What a revelation about a party where Rush
Limbaugh has them all by the male anatomy, and they are so scared they line up to
apologize to him. Come on!

Maynard:

Tolerance, where for art thou?

LiberalNightmare:

I wonder if Obama and Limbaugh use the same dealer - you know, in the spirit of bipartisanship?

LiberalNightmare:

Rush is little more the Goebbels of the corporate-rule crowd despite his out-front position in the media.

Whats the matter Allen? Use up all of your Hitler references for the day?

Lee Ward:

Nobody is impressed with your lying bullshit, Liberal Nightmare. Limpbaugh, the faith-headed wonder, was caught abusing painkillers. Obama wasn't.

LiberalNightmare:

I see, so your claim is that Obambi didnt use cocaine? Go ahead - tell me that Obama didnt inhale.

Actually, I think that a history of cocaine abuse explains a lot Obamas recent foriegn policy blunders.

Lee Ward:

Not sure where you got the cocaine reference, Night... Was that in one of the scare emails sent out by the GOP to get you to write them a check?

If Obama did cocaine as recently as Limpbaugh abused Oxy-Contin you'd link to some proof - but obviously you don't have any -- hence the blustery tone.

So here you go Nightmare - your big chance - show us the proof to your claim that Obama is a cocaine abuser - I don't want to have to ban you for being a lying putz (or do I...?)

A single link to a credible source will make you a big shot among other conservative putzes, can you do it?

LiberalNightmare:

You get banned for being a lying putz here? I figured if I lied enough, Id get my own whizbang (insert color here) site.

Washington Post good enough for ya Lee?

Long before the national media spotlight began to shine on every twist and turn of his life's journey, Barack Obama had this to say about himself: "Junkie. Pothead. That's where I'd been headed: the final, fatal role of the young would-be black man. . . . I got high [to] push questions of who I was out of my mind."

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/01/02/AR2007010201359_pf.html

Lee Ward:

I didn't see the word "cocaine" there.

Did anyone else see the word "cocaine" in Lying Nightmare's quote?

This was the challenge - "show us the proof to your claim that Obama is a cocaine abuser "

Well, show us!

Here's what you said:

I see, so your claim is that Obambi didnt use cocaine? Go ahead - tell me that Obama didnt inhale.

Actually, I think that a history of cocaine abuse explains a lot Obamas recent foriegn policy blunders.

Allen:

Lee, you have to realize that the repugs are using to telling lies so much, and keep repeating them, so they, after time, believe it's the truth.

Besides that Night, Obama didn't take any trips to boy heaven, like Limpdick did with someone else s vigra. Spin that one, will you, where the sun doesn't shine!

LiberalNightmare:

Actually Im a little surprised your not familiar with the story since it was revealed in Obamas book Dreams From My Father. Your claiming that you havent read it?

http://www.mapinc.org/newsnorml/v03/n1786/a06.html
"I had learned not to care," he wrote. "I blew a few smoke rings, remembering those years. Pot had helped, and booze; maybe a little blow when you could afford it. Not smack, though. ..."

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?pageId=79467

HONOLULU, Hawaii - The late Marxist activist Frank Marshall Davis, frequently accompanied by young Barack Obama and his grandfather Stanley Armour Dunham, sold marijuana and cocaine from a "Chicago style" hot dog cart Davis operated near his home on Kuhio Avenue in Waikiki in the early 1970s, WND has established.

http://www.jointogether.org/news/headlines/inthenews/2007/past-cocaine-use-could-haunt.html

If Democrat rising star Barack Obama decides to run for president in 2008, some observers say that his admission of past drug use -- including cocaine -- could become a campaign issue, the Washington Post reported Jan. 3.

I could do this all day - but you can work google as well as I can. Heres a challenge for you - explain to me how it isnt hypocrisy to attack Limbaugh for his drug use - while at the same time excusing Obama for his drug use.

Allen:

Nightmare, Obama admitted he used dope, Limpdick just admitted to Oxy, but has never explained about the Viagra he had under someone else prescription. Care to spout off about that? Without the GOP BS spin, that is!

DaveD:

"Me too. I think the more people who hear that Rush wants America to fail, the better."

Now Lee, Rush never said he wanted America to fail. He does not like Obama's policies and he thinks they are bad for America. He thinks America loses if Obama's policies win. Similar to your condemning Bush's policies because you felt they were bad for America. Correct?

LiberalNightmare:

Still doesnt answer the question, Allen.

You are willing to overlook Obamas drug problems, yet Rushs drug problems are funny to you.

Hypocrisy.

Lee Ward:

Obama on his drug use as a youth (from LN's first link)

""I was a confused kid and was making a bunch of negative choices based on stereotypes of what I thought a tough young man should be," he said of the period depicted in that section of the book. "Those choices were misguided, a serious mistake. "

Rush Limpbaugh was a full-grown adult when he abused prescription painkillers. There's a big difference between experimentation as a youth, and fatboy's adult romps through drug abuse and addiction.

Limbaugh's drug addition isn't funny - it's a sad testament to a twisted, fucked up individual who'd like to see our country fail so he can make a few more million off of his pathetic radio show.
