Like an asthma attack or a neighbor who just won't go away, Wizblue's Sunday Funny Foto Contest is back again, after a short break including technical problems with the Wizbang Network during the last contest. This week I found some crazy black velvet painting of disgraced former Speaker Of The House Newt Gingrich that you can own or give to that special drunk in your life or something. This beautiful garage sale quality item certainly breaks all bounds in lack of good taste for subject quality.
What a truly wonderful subject for a velvet painting. It seemed like only weeks ago, it was Newt arguing that oil prices would only decline if only there was more oil drilling, especially on federal lands, then amazingly, the market took care of prices all by itself. It turns out that high oil prices were based on panicked global speculation, not a real shortage of oil as Newt wrongly claimed. And Gingrich has offered all sorts of wacky and wrong foreign policy advice as well to the Obama Administration, which seems to be doing well enough with the public according to polls. Nothing seems to be preventing Newt from offering up his wrong opinions on any issue he chooses, even if facts prove him wrong each time.
Like the disgraced Richard Nixon who only made a comeback in 1968 just to ruin the country and his own reputation for good by 1974, Newt Gingrich feels that he still has one big screw-up left in him. What do you think? "Let's hear your best Newt Gingrich thoughts or funny comments here.
Hopefully, winners will be announced on Thursday and this Wizblue Sunday Foto Contest is back again for good.
