Carrie Prejean Was "Tempted By Satan," Then God Spoke to Her

It looks as if Carrie Prejean's parents may have found new ways to make money off their daughter.

Apparently tired of having her try to sell her surgically-enhanced body to the Victoria Secrets catalog folks, they can now capitalize on statements like the following -- which are guaranteed to make her a few bucks on the rubber chicken "Praise the Almighty" book and revival meeting tour:

Miss California Carrie Prejean says she was being tempted by Satan when she declared she was against gay marriage during the Miss USA pageant. "I felt as though Satan was trying to tempt me in asking me this question," she told the Focus on the Family radio program Monday. "And then God was in my head saying, 'Do not compromise this. You need to stand up for me and you need to share with all these people." Pageant officials are currently deciding whether to strip Prejean of her title because of topless photos she took earlier this year.

Oh, brother... I'm sure God will speak to Carrie as often as is needed to let her fully milk her 15 minutes of fame.

I wonder if Joe the Plumber's management is coaching Prejean?

MunDane68:

So, Just to be clear, how is that Christian women should act, according to you.

Seriously, I am wanting to know...

When they dress in neck to ankle dresses, you make fun. When wearing a bikini, you make fun. When competing as a model, and make no mistake, the Miss USA is a model competition, it is all based on looks, you make fun.

So you castigate her for having an opinion different than yours, and unless she betrayed her principles, for which you are castigating her NOW as a hypocrisy for working as a model, and becomes a hypocrite for YOU, you are blasting her.

Huh...

Mac Lorry:

Few people care about beauty pageants nowadays and fewer still care what some "child" has to say about life or politics. Well that's not the case anymore for Carrie Prejean. The majority of the electorate who oppose gay marriage, even in liberal California, are now paying attentions to what she has to say about the hateful way the moralphobic mob has tried to destroy her for expressing her honest opinion.

The Miss California officials met today and Carrie still has her title because it has always been up to Trump to decide. If tomorrow Trump strips her of the title it will set a new low standard as the only genuine photo being posted is not topless, nor nude, nor even semi-nude by the legal definition. It's at most suggestive, but the law doesn't restrict suggestive in any way for good reasons.

If Trump names a new winner she'll be known as Miss Gay California, and Carrie Prejean will have an even bigger venue from which to rally moral Americans against gay special interests. Gay's think Prejean is a monster, but it's a monster they created.

Lee Ward:

"So you castigate her for having an opinion different than yours,..."

Not at all. I mock her for being another hypocritical social conservative. She dares to tell others how to live a moral life while she poses -- underage -- topless -- capitalizing on her surgically-enhanced boobs -- trying to sell her sexuality to the highest bidder, all to make a buck.

Patti:

Since 90 percent of beauty pageant girla and Victoria's Secret models have surgically enhanced bodies, why fixate on Prejean?

I would like to see if the winner is "enhanced" in any way.

If so, let's hear how many of the other girls have fake somethings.

MunDane68:

Lee,

Oh I get it, all Christian women should be what, in your world, silent? Barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen? C'mon...

Dude, she is a model. She isn't living a lesbian lifestyle...that WOULD be hypocritical. Nor is she advocating any other position other than heterosexual marriage, at least as far as I have heard. Models have to pose, in clothing, that sells the clothing.

Let me clue you in on a little secret...most womens' lingerie is modeled by surgically enhanced women. And except in the case of Uma Thurman, attractive ones, too. This is why Rosie O'Donnell and Camaryn Manheim are not Victoria's Secret models. Furthermore, it is just a job, not a reflection of their personal beliefs. You know, like a vegetarian working at Taco Bell or an atheist at a bookstore that sells The Bible or The Quran.

"She dares to tell others how to live a moral life while she poses -- underage -- topless -- capitalizing on her surgically-enhanced boobs -- trying to sell her sexuality to the highest bidder, all to make a buck."

I love this statement, full of half-truths and assumptions. Yeah, if that is your definition of a topless photograph, you really need to get out more. In most places, that photo isn't even NSFW, let alone 'topless'. Movie trailers and soap operas show as much. (Sometimes more: Watch Super Sabado sometime on Univision. Ay! Muy Caliente!)Furthermore, the bolt-on breastages came AFTER the photo shoot, like three years later.

As for using her sexuality to get a job modeling...that is like complaining that Yao Ming used his height to get a job playing basketball. Please, get serious. The clothing model is all about looking attractive. If it wasn't, the clothing manufacturers would put their products on plastic mannequins.

Doubting Thomas:

Rosie O'Donnell as a lingere model? For who - Omar the Tentmaker?

I think I just threw up a little in my mouth.

Yao Ming, however, HAS used what gifts his genetics have given him, and to the best effect possible. Kind of hard to be a 7'6" rice farmer...

First, you obsess about Palin. Now, this Prejean character. Lee - it seems kind of ... unhealthy,/i> you know?

Paul Hooson:

Praise the Lord for Carrie Prejean's continued circus antics. Her crazy nonsense is sure great for ratings around here at WizBlue if anything. She's a true gift from Heaven.

Ryan:

This is the world that conservo-nuts live in. It's called the United States of America, (circa 1955) It's OK to appear naked in photos as long as you don't support civil rights, and no lesbians have downloaded your photos and used them for sexual gratification.

Ryan:

We have a state Senator here in Utah who recently came out and said that gays are the biggest threat to America, and likened them to fundalentamist Islamic terrorists.

There was a huge uproar, as you might imagine, but he still sits as a Utah senator.

Many people, including most of his colleagues, defended his statement.

They argue that his speech is protected by the 1st amendment, and they are absolutely right.

Whatever they say is protected, in the sense that they can't be prosecuted for saying what they believe, but they are not protected from the rest of us telling them that they are wrong.

Tim:

I find it odd that someone would rant about a pageant contestant having surgical enhancements in order to do better in the pageant, considering that the pageant paid for them .

Stan25:
The Miss California officials met today and Carrie still has her title because it has always been up to Trump to decide. If tomorrow Trump strips her of the title it will set a new low standard as the only genuine photo being posted is not topless, nor nude, nor even semi-nude by the legal definition. Update: Donald Trump just announced that Miss California WILL keep her crown and continue with the duties that go with that crown. As usual, there were some assholes in the press that tried to ask questions that were not relevant to the subject. This decision will no doubt, have Lee Ward and Paul Hooson frothing at the mouth.

Mac Lorry:

Now that Trump has announced that Carrie Prejean will retain her title the smartest thing the moralphobic hate mongers and their leftwing supporters could do would be to shut up and let Prejean go back to being an irrelevant beauty pageant winner. However, I expect we'll soon see a demonstration of political stupidity on these very pages.
