Yesterday's bad news of the huge decline in automobile sales was yet another heartbreaking reminder of how impotent and out of step the Bush White Administration has become with management of the American economy, yet John McCain only seems to...

It was this week four years ago that the Republican lie machine launched the "Swift Boating" attacks against Democratic nominee John Kerry. The expected onslaught of Republican nastiness (in the form of the typical right wing smear attacks) has yet...

I am starting to feel my first real disillusionment with Obama. I knew it was going to come, but didn`t think it would happen quite so early and cumulatively. I suppose my first real inkling that Obama may not be...

Right after wrapping up the Democratic nomination, Senator Barack Obama started running with both feet on the ground his November effort with hardly a moment's rest. So far all signs are that Obama will manage a campaign far superior to...

Historians belonging to both parties offered a litany of historical comparisons that give little hope to the Republican. Several saw Barack Obama's prospects as the most promising for a Democrat since Roosevelt trounced Hoover in 1932.

Fox News host Ed Hill did her best to terrorize Americans with the notion that Barack Obama has "terrorist" tendencies. These are the kind of smears that most Americans laugh off, but there are those among us who see things like this and believe the worst - and that's the intention of the this kind of smear -- to plant that seed of doubt. These seeds, once planted, persist, as is evidenced by those who still believe that Obama is a Muslim, and that he refuses to recite the pledge of allegiance.

Barack Obama offers the change America wants. John McBush offers four more years of the same old crap.

Much talk these days over Barack Obama's linking of John McCain with George Bush on the subject of taxes and health care. It seems to make John McCain and his supporters squirm quite a bit as they lie and deny that it's true.

Adam writes: "I wish you could have been with me Saturday as I joined thousands at the National Building Museum to see Hillary Clinton end her campaign and encourage us to dedicate our energies to electing Barack Obama president. Once again, she showed the nation the courage, grace, determination and vision that have marked her 40 years of public service."

One way to get to the answer of who will win the VP slot and become the next Vice-President of the United States is to figure out who among the front-runners won't get it.

So says former White House press secretary Scott McClellan, the mouthpiece who helped Bush lie to the American people. The take-away from the eight years of conservatives in positions of power -- Republicans cannot be trusted in the White House.

The Fear-Mongering right, lead by President Bush and the GOP, and as yet un-challenged by their complacent and obedient lap dog John McCain, are doing their best to drive a wedge in the Jewish Community, but we've seen all of this before. We're lucky that they are so blatantly obvious and do such a poor job of hiding their efforts -- they lie about their intentions, but fail to hide them. America is wise to their tricks.

"They're trying to fool you. They're trying to scare you and they're not telling the truth," a fired-up Obama declared while campaigning in South Dakota. "But it's not going to work. Both Bush and McCain represent the failed foreign policy and fear mongering of the past," Obama said. "I believe the American people are ready to reject this approach and to choose the future."

In the 30-second spot, U.S. Air Force vet John Weiler says he's a lifelong Republican who served under Presidents Reagan and George H.W. Bush but will vote for Obama because he can unite the "left, right, Democrats, and Republicans." [Director] Mungia, an Obama supporter, said he was inspired by an Obama meeting in California attended by an "independent, a Democrat, and a Republican sitting side by side" and "passionate about the same issues."

I don't believe that it's solely up to Obama. No question he needs to reach out and welcome former Clinton supporters into the camp - but the job isn't his alone. Hillary Clinton should and, I'm confident will -- reach out as well and help pull together Democrats, helping to unite the party. But it will take more than Hillary and Barack's efforts. It will take all of us Democrats reaching out to heal the divide that'll really drive this process.

Of more than 700 people arrested in the course of the last six months in Saudi Arabia, dozens had been part of cells charged with preparing attacks against oil sites, according to authorities in Riyadh.
