It is typical Elmer Fuddry for this wacky campaign in which McCain makes a crazy statement, then his advisors go into damage control mode. But such a goofy approach to serious economic issues should be a serious warning to the voting public that McCain may be a high economic risk to their family.

The Bush-McCain economy (created by Bush and his economic blunders and pledged to perpetuate another four years by John McCain) has reached a new benchmark -- the highest unemployment in the last five years. 605,000 U.S. jobs have been lost...

Republicans had a golden opportunity to showcase speeches by Bush and Cheney on Monday at their convention and wake the nation up the fact that John McCain is just like them, but then hurricane Gustav ruined all of that...

On one hand, the new John McCain ads that use both Britney Spears and Paris Hilton against Senator Barack Obama are so juvenile and silly that the McCain Campaign probably has wounded itself more than anything. But one fact that...

I suspect that tanking the economy and throwing the country into a recession is a Rovian-style strategy -- Republicans know they will lose the election this November, so they are making sure America enters a deep recession, that could well turn into a depression.... but that is clearly the motive behind the Republican move to throw Americans out of work and tank the US dollar further.

The GOP has definitely become the "Gas and Oil Party." It's time for us to use our heads, and not listen to the Republicans, they'll lie to use time and time again.... President Bush just appeared on national television imploring...

Hopefully this report will move the nation one step closer to possible charges against the current administration for war crimes. I firmly believe that the only way to stop this horrendous abuse of power is to prosecute.

This may be news to some, but Wizbang Blue has been writing on this for a year now, and saying exactly that - that Bush would attempt action against Iran before the US Election in November. Here's some links to those posts:

To many Republican politicians, the term "appeasement" conjures up dirty images of British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain who had hoped to somehow construct a foreign policy of coexistence between a democratic Europe and a fascist Germany. Yet, during the Cold War years, and even now in the post-Cold War modern world with most nations still not democratic in nature, Republican presidential administrations including the Bush White House have simply practiced "appeasement" with undemocratic nations or leaders in some form or other.

The war in Iraq and the national reconstruction costs that Bush promised would be paid for by Iraqi oil revenues to renew the country have instead cost American taxpayers $511,046,890,000+ dollars at the time of this writing, and are increasing...

Last October I pointed to the Pentagon's funding of a super "bunker-buster" as possible evidence of run-up to a US attack on Iran. The timetable suggested at that time was for a Summer 2008 attack. That's looking even more likely now, in the light of Admiral Fallon's resignation.

The gloves are definitely off, and this should dispel the persistent MSM meme that Clinton's valedictorian-esque closing to the recent Texas debate was her 'swan song'. She's still a fighter, and she will be slugging it out all the way to the Democratic convention floor in August.

Barack Obama's ties to Tony Rezko may be a lot deeper and lot more convoluted than previously revealed, and there are signs that Islamic interests may be represented in some strangely 'disconnected yet connected' way as well.

One way to avoid prosecution for wrong doing is to destroy the evidence. The CIA did exactly that, despite court orders: The Bush administration was under court order not to discard evidence of detainee torture and abuse months before the...
