I know that the suggestion of a McCain Lieberman ticket will make the conservative and religious right factions of the GOP spew milk all over their computer screens as they read this, but I can't think of a more powerful way for the centrist McCain to steal back the Reagan Democrats -- those white, working class Democratic voters who do not support Barack Obama. If Obama secures the Democratic nomination, Lieberman as GOP VP would be a very strong ticket to run against Obama.

I'm very familiar with Gonzales' politics and style, and will have more to say about him and his political path and potential in future posts - but he has to be one of the most honest, high-integrity politicians I've ever come across. This has a high potential to pull progressives away from the Democratic camp, and puts some pressure on Obama to select a progressive running mate.

Let's draft Al Gore for Vice-President and let him choose Hillary or Barack as his running mate, selecting whoever he feels is best qualified to lead, and then see what happens to that ticket in the remaining primaries. Gore would determine the Democratic nominee in the process.
