Debate Poll: Biden Trounces Palin Among Independents

This Washington Post VP debate fact-check accounting shows Palin and Biden as about even on the mis-speak scale, but that isn't stopping the more rabid of the right from doing some heavily partisan oral foaming, pointing out Biden's oops and conveniently ignoring Palin's wrongs in the process. A real-time poll sampling over 1000 debate viewer reactions found Independent voters swarming for Biden 3-1 or more.

Obama's Political Machine Will Try to Steam Roll Clinton Again

Prediction - Obama refuses to debate Clinton in North Carolina as previously agreed. He'll use his faux outrage over being asked tough questions in last night's debate as an excuse to back out of the North Caroline debate but....he won't back out until after the Pennsylvania primary next Tuesday. UPDATE: He's already hedging...

PA Democratic Debate: Who Won?

The result was arguably one of Mr. Obama's weakest debate performances. He at times appeared annoyed as he sought to answer questions about his former pastor, his reluctance to wear an American flag pin on his lapel and his association in Chicago with former members of the Weather Underground, a radical group that carried out bombings in the 1960s that were intended to incite the overthrow of the government.

Obama's Dilemma with Farrakhan's Endorsement

Earl Ofari Hutchinson at the Huffington Post has a good handle on the Louis Farrakhan Nation of Islam dilemma for Obama, and why it matters - -and why Obama waffled all over the stage during the Tuesday night debate.

Let the Debate Continue

There was one point in last night's debate where in the middle of a complex answer it became obvious that Obama was repeating his stump speech word-for-word, strengthening my impression that the fellow sometimes has difficulty staying focused. Does he not realize that he's repeating a speech verbatim? Or is he just unable to stop himself -- and in either case what does that say about his expressed willingness to run off and engage every despot and rogue leader in a dialog of Kumbaya Obama-goodness?

Clinton's Fight with MSNBC Continues, but where is Obama?

Clinton accepted the invitation to debate in Ohio on February 26th after threatening to boycott the event over a disagreement with MSNBC over certain remarks made by network on-air personalities.

Clinton Challenges Obama to Fox Debate, Will He Accept?

Will Barack Obama rise to the occasion, and resolve his differences with Fox News in a way that allows him to debate Clinton as challenged? It's a great opportunity for Obama to show that he really can "unite the country." If he claims he can diplomatically handle Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, why can't he resolve his differences with Rupert Murdock? Perhaps he can't...

Obama Lost the Debate, Supporters Pretend to Not Notice

No question Obama lost last Thursday's debate, but try to find an Obama supporter (or a journalist) who will admit that. I found one, in San Francisco of all places.

Obama says NO to O'Reilly and Fox News in New Hampshire

Here's another video clip that's got the Internet buzzing - Barack's refusal to grant interviews with Fox has been quietly ignored prior to this, but with Obama vaulting to the front of the Democratic pack the past asshattery at Fox...

New Hampshire Debate Review - Republican and Democrat

Just some quick reactions to tonight's ABC WMUR Republican and Democratic debates in New Hampshire. I was able to watch both in their entirety. First, the Republicans. What pompous asses. Huckabee showed a small degree of humility, as did McCain...

Scoring the December 13 Iowa Democratic Debate

I tuned in late to yesterday's debate but got to see the second half. It was obvious that the in-fighting and cross-firing of rhetoric was lessened. One news report suggested that there was an agreement amongst the candidates to...

Quit Whining About the Republican Debate

It was quite funny when Mitt Romney declared months ago he was boycotting the Republican CNN YouTube debate because he was afraid of questions from a snowman, and much to my surprise (heh) Mitt later flip-flopped and changed his mind...

John McCain Banged The War Drums Most Loudly

If anything, last night's Republican debate was yet another unsettling right wing orgy for each candidate to attempt to outdo the other for being the most likely to start the next war, and to flex American military power around the...

Did Hillary Blow It? Making Lemonade

My pal Larkin questions whether Hillary lost some ground in her race for Democratic nominee coming out of Tuesday night's Drexel University debate in New Hampshire. Simultaneously my pal Steve Crickmore is suggesting that the GOP will focus and hit...

GOP Grumpy Old Men Hopefuls Now Running Against "Woodstock" Nation

Thompson's Debate Debut "Uneven"
