This Washington Post VP debate fact-check accounting shows Palin and Biden as about even on the mis-speak scale, but that isn't stopping the more rabid of the right from doing some heavily partisan oral foaming, pointing out Biden's oops and conveniently ignoring Palin's wrongs in the process. A real-time poll sampling over 1000 debate viewer reactions found Independent voters swarming for Biden 3-1 or more.

If the press scrutiny Obama faced this last week had been occurring for the last two months the delegate count today would be an entirely different story. Fortunately, when we reach the convention in August we will have the benefit of super delegates who can vote to reflect the realities there in August, and the Democratic party won't have to settle for the candidate who was able to bamboozle the most delegates out of the voters -- aided by a complacent and fawning press.

Wondering who won last night's Fox Republican Debate in New Hampshire? I don't think there was a clear winner... Huckabee made a good showing. He's "feeling his oats" and felt emboldened enough from his Iowa straw poll showing to step...

Did John McCain knowingly employ someone this slimy? Or is this just another example of John McCain making really, really bad choices? It's hard to tell -- he's so erratic it's hard to tell what the real John McCain is thinking these days, ping-ponging from one bad decision to the next bad decision.
